Use Almost ANYTHING as Your Base

Haute Stacker Doughnut Donut Wedding Cake Tower
One of my favorite things about Haute Stacker is the endless options for bases!  In this display I found an eggplant colored flower pot and use the deep purple color as inspiration for the rest of the tower.
This look is super easy to achieve...
1. Simply squish some floral foam in your flower pot, vase, jar, bowl, box, etc.
2. Cap the end of your stainless steel rod with a bolt (included in hardware kit).
3. Insert your stainless steel rod into the floral foam being careful to keep it level.

Another favorite feature of mine is the option to swap out the topper with any standard-size cabinet drawer pull!  I found this beautiful cabinet drawer pull at my local hardware store and thought he jewel and sparkle would be a perfect finishing touch for this very colorful display.
{P.s.  Cotton candy makes a PERFECT filler!}

Yet another of my favorite features is the ability to mix up the different levels.  A typical doughnut tower is pretty limited...you can pretty much only stack doughnuts and bagels and of course there's no way to avoid the individual pastries getting squashed.  With Haute Stacker, there's now worries at all about things collapsing on each other, so in this case, I mixed in a variety of cookies and chocolates with my doughnuts.

For my doughnuts, I simply purchase glazed Dunkin' Donuts and made my own icing by melting grocery store canned frosting and coloring it.  Some metallic sprinkles, candies, and edible glitter help incorporate all the colors together.

If you don't want to have to bake everything you'll LOVE this idea!  Literally everything on this tray is store-bought:
1. Doughnuts from Dunkin' Donuts and iced with store-bought canned frosting (see above for directions)
2. Bakery shortbread cooked and white chocolate Lindt truffles spray painted with blue shimmer edible paint
3. Bakery coconut macaroon with the same green frosting and sprinkles used on the doughnuts
4. French macarons from my local pastry shop (Whisk and Measure) with spray painted dragon fly on top

To make a dragonfly stencil, I just used a dragonfly-shaped hole punch that I found at Hobby Lobby and punched out my shape using acetate (found in the art department at Hobby Lobby).  The sky is the limit on shapes!

A dollop of purple frosting is dual purpose...it keeps all the cookies and such from falling off as well as creates another opportunity to incorporate more color.

While the cookies and truffles can be easily picked off from the Haute Stacker, you'll have to slide the trays off to get to the doughnuts when it comes time to serve up dessert!  But, until then, your Haute Stacker display is guaranteed to steal the show!
