Nothing Bundt Cakes...Stacked!
If you've never tasted these amazing little old-fashioned cakes then you're really missing out...they're so delicious! Nothing Bundt Cakes puts a modern spin on a favorite vintage cake. The decorative carved pans that they're baked in leave a pretty detail that practically begs for drips of frosting...but most importantly, bundt cakes have a convenient hole in the center that is perfect for filling up with additional frosting or mousse or in my case...the hole makes bundt cakes PERFECT for stacking!
Nothing Bundt Cakes offers three sizes...I'm using the Bundtlets for my Haute Stacker display. The height and diameter of the Haute Stacker plates fit the Bundlets nicely. The center post is just a smidgen taller than the height of the cakes and allows for a layer of frosting...or in this case...chocolate lavender ganache!
There are LOTS of small bundt cake pans readily available on the market also...some of them are really ornate! William Sonoma and Wilton have some very nice options.
I ordered my Bundtlets with no frosting because I wanted to create a chocolate lavender experience. The hardest part of this display was mixing up the lavender ganache. I simply used my favorite ganache recipe (warm cream and chocolate pieces melted together...soooo simple!) and added some lavender extract.
I sprinkled some fresh lavender just to make them pretty... In hind sight, I think it would've been prettier to simply place a little sprig of lavender next to each cake...next time I guess! :)
The beauty of Haute Stacker is how simple it is to create something grand. Once you've drizzled your cakes all that's left is to stack them! It couldn't be easier...just slide each stacker plate over the solid stainless steel post! Twist the topper on to finish the display or swap it our for any standard cabinet drawer pull to create a more custom look!
